Dried Cotton Plants 4 - 6 cotton plants sheared at the roots. I select a spot in the field cotton of the right height and pretty and white. The plants are sheared at the roots and placed in the box. The first couple of years I sold 42" plants. The box became oversize so I had to drop back to a 34 - 36" plants. Now the 36" is considered over size so this year I've had to cut 28 - 30" plants.
